Issue
- The oven shows SAFE or the padlock symbol. This means that the Child Lock is activated
- The oven cannot be turned on

Resolution
1. Deactivate the Child Lock (parental lock)
- Please refer to the description in the operating instructions as the methods differ depending on the model.
- The activation and deactivation procedure is described in the chapter " Additional functions "

The ways to enable/disable the lock differ depending on the type of control panel.
Examples of various control panels and how to disable the Child Lock
The Child Lock function prevents the oven from being accidentally switched on
1. Check that the knob for the oven functions is in the off position
2. Press and hold the symbols simultaneously for 2 seconds 
and 
. A signal sounds. The SAFE indicator appears on the display.
3. To disable the lock, repeat step 2

for 3 seconds to turn the oven on
2. Press and hold the symbols simultaneously for 2 seconds

. An acoustic signal will sound. SAFE appears on the display.

The panel lock function can only be activated when the unit is operating. The function locks the door and protects against accidental changes to the temperature and time settings of the activated oven function.
1. Select an oven function and set it as required.
2. Press simultaneously and hold for 2 seconds 
and 
A signal sounds. Loc will appear in the display.
3. To disable the Panel Lock function, repeat step 2.
Loc appears on the display when you turn the knob for the temperature or press a button. By turning the knob for the oven functions, the appliance is turned off.
If the unit is turned off with the Panel Lock function running, this function will automatically switch to the Child Lock function.
The oven cannot be accidentally switched on when the function is active.
1. Check that the knob for the oven functions is in the off position.

3. To disable the Panel Lock function, repeat step 2.
1. When the Child Lock is active, the oven cannot be started accidentally. The function can be turned on and off in the Basic Settings menu.

2. When the function is activated, Child Lock appears on the display when the device is turned on. To use the oven, use the knob to select the letters of the code in the following order: A B C. When the Child Lock is active and the oven is turned off, the door will be locked.
